Carlton Ling

Equally at home reviewing a balance sheet or guiding investment strategy, Carlton Ling brings fiduciary rigour and experience, along with a practised eye for growth and opportunity, to his role as Chief Investment Officer for Blumont Annuity Company.

A chartered accountant and a CFA charterholder, Carlton’s early-career work focused on clients in the financial services sector and included auditing financial institutions as well as pension plans. He soon recognized, however, that his real passion was for investing. He quickly transitioned his career to focus on the capital markets, working for a global investment bank and asset manager. Before joining Blumont Annuity, he was High Yield Credit Portfolio Manager with one of Canada’s largest investment management firms.

As an experienced investment professional, Carlton is well prepared to balance the risks and returns of the investment portfolios on behalf of our annuitants. He has a track record of investing through the cycle and protecting investor capital.
