Janice Madon

A proven leader and strategic thinker, Janice Madon’s professional training, strong financial background and extensive career experience provide her with a sophisticated yet practical perspective on the intersection of finance, risk and business opportunity. She has a remarkable track record for driving growth and profitability. Additionally, her insights into developing creative yet practical approaches to help companies retire pension risk are invaluable to Blumont Annuity, our customers and annuitants.

Janice joined Blumont Annuity as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) before moving to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer. Janice’s prior experience includes Senior Advisor to Brookfield Asset Management and serving as Executive Vice President and CFO at Manulife Canada. There, she played a pivotal role in a $4 billion acquisition and in recognizing and implementing opportunities to improve operational efficiency and resource management. Prior to becoming Manulife Canada’s CFO, Janice’s roles included Global Chief Auditor and Global Chief Accountant. Prior to that, she held increasingly senior roles at RBC for nearly a decade.

Trained as a Chartered Accountant and recognized as an FCPA, FCA, the highest distinction granted in the CPA profession, Janice spent several years with one of the world’s largest accounting and professional services firms. Her professional skills and on-the-job experience allow her to leverage financial management tools to support Blumont Annuity and our clients in reaching their financial and strategic de-risking goals.

Janice is a director on several corporate boards and on the board of governors at one of Canada’s top international independent schools.
